If you like doing research and checking out pictures of places you're considering visiting as part of your upcoming travels, you've come to a good place!
At some point in the weeks ahead, this blog will become active on a pretty regular basis, at least for the first couple of months. Right now, I'm in the process of trying to set up the blog and prepare the sundry posts that will serve as the blog's primary content.
The blog content will serve as a kind of travelogue. It will be loaded with information about the various places I have visited and packed with lots of photos I took in my travels. If or when I feel strongly about a certain attraction, I will give it a hardy recommendation. Other times, I might qualify my enthusiasm for it.
While I don't ever want to come off as rude about things I did not like (there aren't that many of those), I want to be candid about my impressions. I enjoyed many more things than I did not.
So far, the majority of the travels that will be covered in this blog are in the eastern United States -- Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina and Virginia. But posts on places in Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee and Wisconsin also will appear. And who knows ... by the time all of those posts have materialized in Travelin' Shutterbug, I might have gone to other places as well, and those will be included here, too.
All of us leave our footprints behind in the various places we travel, which is why I elected to use the photo you see leading off this introduce post. It was taken in Key West, Florida, one of the places you'll see and hopefully enjoy in future posts.
You are welcome to comment on any post, but I will be monitoring comments for tone, dignity and respect, and comments judged to be hostile or using profanity will be removed. So will be phishing comments or comments that are obviously self-serving and/or blatant advertisements.
